There are many ways of breaking a heart. Stories were full of hearts broken by love,
but what really broke a heart was taking away its dream - whatever that dream might be.

Summer is officially over. Fall is approaching. All visting company has finished for the time being. Hallelujah. I love you sis, thanks for the great weekend!

With that out of the way, today is a landmark day. Today is the first day of junior/mini-me's preschool adventure. He said to me this morning, we are NOT going back to (previous daycare provider's) house. And almost started crying.

I reassured him he was not. He was going to start at the preschool. Then he turned into an energizer/leaping bunny! I will remind him of this day on his first day of school, his senior year. HA!~ (and maybe every year, just so we have some "tradition").

Happy Work Week not actually Monday but Tuesday. (that doesn't even make sense to me.)

  1. That is so cute! :) Glad he's so excited about school!

  2. oh! i remember that so well! i'm so happy he's happy about it!

    good luck!

  3. That's so sweet..
Kids usually LOVE that first day..

  4. The Teenager, a senior, said to me last night "Mom, I am tired of school". He's been back to school for exactly one week.

  5. My neice's first day of kindergarden is today...ooh, I feel sorry for the rest of those kids.

Bossy McBossy is coming to town!

  6. karma: he was super excited today too. and talky. very very chatty.

lily: yea. He was telling me all about the playground, and how there weren't any lions there. i wonder what goes through his head sometimes.

steph: I remember liking it. new clothes, new shoes... etc.

cindy: senior year sucks... it is the last year before the real world. hard to sit still. I joined all kinds of clubs, and drama, etc. good luck!

earl: wow. I am grateful every day I didn't have a girl, and do it alone. :giggles:

  7. Oh, what a wonderful milestone for the little prince! I hope he loves it!

  8. Im so happy your Wee One is going to school. I hope he loves it! They do so many fun things :)

maybe, just maybe my Wee One will get off the waiting list.

  9. Beanie: he loves it! so nice that he is around kids his own age. I think he already has a girlfriend. YIKES!

goddess: I am hoping for you he does. its a godsend for a momma. :thinking good thoughts:

  10. That's awesome. My biggest mini me is going to be riding a bus for the first time on Monday... he confided in me that he is afraid to ride the bus. Why? He thinks he'll fall asleep and wind up somewhere far away. He's too sweet.
